Iran and Oman have signed a memorandum of understanding to improve the level of mutual banking relations.
The agreement was signed between the two countries’ central banks in a meeting in Tehran with Central Bank of Iran chief Valiollah Seif, his Omani counterpart Hamoud bin Sanjour, and Deputy Foreign Minister Badar bin Hamad al-Bu Saidi, Mehr news agency reported March 12.
Trade between Iran and Oman increased to $1 billion in 2016, whereas in 2015, it had been around $560 million.
