Iranian bank ready to carry out oil-related transactions

Export Development Bank of Iran has expressed readiness for carrying out transactions related to the country’s oil exports.

“Considering the corresponding ties we established with international banks, we are capable of carrying out transactions related to the oil sells,” IRIB news agency quoted Ali Salehabadi, the head of the Export Development Bank of Iran, as saying.

He further explained that if Iran Energy Exchange (IRENEX) launches offering crude oil, Export Development Bank of Iran will be in charge of settling the deals.

Ali Hosseini, the head of the IRENEX earlier expressed hope that Iran Energy Exchange would launch offering crude oil exchange by March 2018.
