He further called for paving the way for expansion of bilateral ties through holding regular meetings of the two countries’ joint economic commission, Iranian media reported.

Speaking at a meeting with the Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov in Tehran on Oct. 18, the Iranian president said the two sides should facilitate visa regime and banking ties in order to help private sector expand cooperation.

Earlier on Tuesday, Abdulaziz Kamilov and Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh discussed plans for exporting Iran’s oil to the Central Asian country.

Following the yesterday’s meeting, Zanganeh said the sides need to study the paths for exporting oil to Uzbekistan. The oil minister speculated that the export of Iran’s oil would take place through railways.
