Iran exports bitumen via Mercantile Exchange

Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) said on its official website that over 47,400 tons of bitumen was traded at exporting ring of the IME on Nov. 18.

The exporting ring also witnessed trade of 100 tons of insulation at the same day.

Also 23,000 tons of vacuum bottom and 5,500 tons of lube cut, 700 tons of sulphur, 2,826 tons of bitumen, 902 tons of various chemicals and 5,426 tons of polymer products were traded at the oil and petrochemical sector of the IME on Nov. 18.

On the other hand, IME traded 13,750 tons of wheat and 27,000 day-old chickens at agricultural trading floor.

The IME was founded in 2007. It trades in agricultural, industrial and petrochemical products in spot and futures markets.

There are 70 listed brokerage companies in IME who are members of the exchange licensed by the market regulator, the Securities and Exchange Organization.
