Iran’s provincial wheat reaches Europe

Iranian southeastern province of Khouzestan has exported 60,000 tons of wheat to Italy and Oman over the current year.

Siavosh Hosseinpour, a provincial trade official, has said that the province in the meantime has exported 28,000 tons of flour to Iraq, IRNA news agency reported.

Over the first ten months of the current fiscal year (starting March 20) the province has exported 28,500 tons of ordinary wheat to Oman and 31,500 tons of durum wheat to Italy.

The province also supplied 1.353 million tons of wheat to the other parts of the country.

The official further added that Khouzestan has a capacity for storing 1.5 million tons of wheat.
