By Elnur Baghishov – Trend:

The export of foreign tea purchased with foreign currency at the official rate is prohibited, Mahmoud Bazari, the director general of the Exports Coordination Office of Iran’s Trade ‎Promotion Organization (TPO), said, SHATA reported.

The Ministry of Agricultural Jihad of Iran hasn’t applied restriction on the export of local tea, he added.

Bazari noted that in August, the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade of Iran informed the Main Customs Administration that the export of local tea is not prohibited, but this product shall be exported by permission of Ministry of Agricultural Jihad in order to prevent official or unofficial export of foreign tea under the locally produced tea brands.

The export of local tea is not restricted provided that this is done under supervision of the responsible agencies and Ministry of Agricultural Jihad of Iran, he said.
