Three big projects to be commissioned in Iran's Fars province

Three big industrial projects will be implemented in Iran’s southern Fars province on February 1-11 through the investments worth 6.73 trillion rials (about $160 million), chairman of the Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Iran’s Fars province Ali Hemmati said.

After the implementation of these projects, 746 people will be employed, he added.

Hemmati added that one of the projects covering a cement plant will be implemented through 4.36 trillion rials (about $104 million) in Neyriz county and 374 people will be employed. This plant can produce up to 1 million tons of cement per year.

The second project covering Seram Pasargad Ceramic Plant can produce 5 million square meters of ceramics per year through the investments worth 1.32 trillion rials (about $31 million). Thus, 240 people will be employed at the plant, he said.

The third project covering a plant producing 4,000 heat exchangers will be implemented through the investments worth 1.05 trillion rials (about $25 million). Thus, 132 people will be employed, he said.

Hemmati said that more than 68,000 tons of mining materials are extracted in the province per year.

Moreover, 379,000 people work in the trade sector of the Fars province, he said.
