Energy consumption is very high in Iran, Iranian Vice President and Chairman of the Environmental Protection Organization Isa Kalantari said.
Energy consumption in Iran and China is similar, Trend reports referring to IRNA.
He added that in different countries, citizens prefer not to use car, except for holidays.
Gasoline is cheap in Iran as opposed to other countries. Even in Saudi Arabia, the price of gasoline is five times more than in Iran, Kalantari said.
He said that in many countries, cars are cheap, gasoline is expensive, while in Iran, cars are expensive, gasoline is cheap.
