In the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2018), Iran's iron ore production may reach 75 million tons, Trend reports referring to Iranian Mines & Mining Industries Development & Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) on Feb. 2.
In the previous Iranian year, 74.1 million tons of iron ore were produced in the country, according to IMIDRO.
During the last four decades Iran's iron ore production has greatly increased. For comparison, in 1978, only 713,000 tons of iron ore were extracted from the country's mines. So, in the last Iranian year, the production incread by over 103 times compared to that of 1978.

Ötən 40 il ərzində İranda metal filizi istehsalı prosesi göstərir ki, bu mədən 1978-ci ildə 713 min ton istehsaldan ötən İran ilində 74,1 milyon tona çatıb. Bu da ötən 40 ildə İranın metal filizi istehsalında 103% artımı göstərir.
