Production of agricultural products increases in Iran’s Semnan province

This Iranian year (started on March 21, 2018) 350,000 tons of fruits were grown in Iran’s Semnan province, Deputy Director for Economic Affairs of the Agriculture Organization of Semnan Province Khudabakhsh Arab said.

During the reporting period, 1.5 million tons of agricultural products were grown, Arab added, Trend reports referring to IRNA.

The climate in the province is suitable for growing many medicinal plants, he said.

This Iranian year 87,300 tons of apricots, 101,000 tons of grapes, 15,400 tons of pistachios, 5,900 tons of walnuts, 47,700 tons of apples, 47,000 tons of pomegranates were harvested in the province, Arab said.

About 45,000 people are involved in agricultural sector in Semnan province.
