Iran's Deputy Minister of Industry, Mining and Trade Farshad Moghimi has announced the launch of 'Domestic Production System' by the mid-September.

The official also mentioned the order of President Hassan Rouhani to use the country's capabilities to protect domestic production.

Moghimi said that the implementation of this order has been reviewed during three meetings so far, Trend reports citing IRNA.

“At the first step, a 'Domestic Production System' must be launched as a place to store information about Iran's capabilities,” Moghimi said.

“Supporting domestic production and enforcing the order requires maximum support from all the sides in the country," he said.

Referring to the launch of the 'Domestic Production System' by September he said that evaluating the existing systems in order to comply with the industrial needs of the country and planning to enter the basic information of industrial capabilities into the system, are among the necessities.

He noted that at present, some of the major industries in Iran, such as automakers and part manufacturers, producers of home appliances and apparel, are running domestic production projects, and have also achieved some successes in some sectors.
