Iran will hold 3rd hydrology conference on water crisis and recent floods that hit the country at city of Tabriz in September 17-19.
"It is important to consider hydrology related issues including droughts and floods and the use the science of hydrology in ecosystem and societies," said Ahmad Fakher Fard secretary of the forum, Trend reports citing IRNA.
"Climate change, floods, droughts, water management, alarming systems for flood prediction, risk management , remote testing and data analysis, environment and unconventional water resources are main topics of the conference," he added
According to him, among other topics, the event participants will discuss economy and water governance, protecting water resources, simulation and modeling in hydrology, and agriculture science structure.
"The conference to be held in cooperation of Iranian Association of Hydrology will provide a forum for academics, officials and experts in the field," he said.
