Export of goods via Iran’s Kermanshah customs grows by 3%

Export of goods via the customs of Iran’s Kermanshah province has increased by 3 percent over first three Iranian months of this Iranian year (started March 21, 2019), General of Kermanshah Customs Administration Khalil Heidari said, Trend reports via IRNA.

He said that exports of products increased by 14 percent in terms of weight in the reporting period. He added that 1.36 million tons worth $609 million were exported through the Kermanshah province customs and border markets in three months.

“Some 783,000 tons of products worth $345 million were exported through Kermanshah, Parvizkhan, Khosravi and Paveh customs,” he said. “This figure increased by 15 percent in terms of value and 8 percent in terms of weight compared to the same period last year.”

He noted that other Iranian customs exported 582,000 tons of products worth $264 million during the same period via the Kermanshah province. Compared to the same period last year, exports of products increased by 22 percent in terms of weight and decreased by 10 percent in terms of value, he said.

He added that the main export items included tomatoes, watermelons, iron and steel, ice cream, detergents and rubber, dairy products, and urea.

He said that the products were mainly exported to Iraq.

Kermanshah province of Iran has a 371 km border with Iraq. Almost half of Iran’s non-oil exports to Iraq are transported via Kermanshah province.
