The first passenger-cargo ship between Iran’s Bushehr province and Qatar will start operations this week, said Director General of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization of the province Siavash Arjmandzadeh, Trend reports referring to the organization’s website.
He said that the vessel can carry 1,600 people and about 2,000 tons of cargo in containers.
He added that the ship between Bushehr and Qatar will be operated once a week.
Arjmandzadeh further noted that the distance between Bushehr and Qatar is 200 miles and the ship will reach its destination in 10-12 hours.
