Kermanshah, Ilam, Lorestan and Hamadan, four provinces in western Iran, are best options for Iraqi, Syrian and Lebanese markets, Head of Iran's Trade Promotion Organization Hamid Zadboum said, Trend reports via ISNA.

In the last Iranian year (March 21, 2018-March 21, 2019), the share of these four provinces in Iran's total exports ($44 billion) was $3.5 billion, Zadboum said.

More precisely, Kermanshah province exported goods for $2.5 billion, Ilam exported goods for $706 million, while Hamadan's and Lorestan's exported amounted to $115 million and $71 million, respectively.

In the last year, Iran's exports to 15 surrounding countries amounted to $24 billion, though the share of these four provinces was very low, he said.

Zadboum noted that the share of these four provinces in Iran's exports to surrounding countries should be at least 30 percent or around $7billion.

According to Zadboum, there is demand in Iraqi market for products of Iran's mining industry, as well as electricity, electronics, chocolate and sweets, nuts, ceramics, poultry etc.

Iran has sent two commercial attaches to Iraq, he said.
