Iran's aviation industry is expanding despite sanctions and the country has reached a remarkable state in manufacturing drones, said the Minister of Road and Urban Development of Iran Mohammad Eslami.
"The aviation industry has faced difficult sanctions during past four decades but today we are among the top five countries regarding drones production and among top ten in manufacturing of supersonic airlines," he said, Trend reports citing ILNA.
"Around 50,000 individuals are currently employed in the aviation industry of Iran," he added.
"The expansion of Iran aviation industry occurred due to sanctions," he said during his speech at the Civil Aviation Technology College. "Sanctions are the main reason that prompt the development of aviation industry in Iran accelerated," he added.
