TEHRAN, Iran, April 11. Iran is installing several solar panels to supply electricity for mining cryptocurrency in a newly built cryptocurrency city in Isfahan Province, said the Managing Director of the cryptocurrency city Amin Khanjani, Trend reports citing IRNA.
"The following panels have generated 10-megawatt electricity for the primary launch of the cryptocurrency city," he said.
According to the official, three solar power plants will connect together to generate 30-megawatt renewable electricity for crypto mining as the next step.
Iran is starting the construction of the first phase of the cryptocurrency city on April 21 by private sector investment at Freydoun Industrial City in the west of Isfahan Province.
