Russia to sign confidentiality agreement with Iran over oil and gas field deals

TEHRAN, Iran, November 11. Russia will sign a confidentiality agreement with Iran to avoid disclosing information about oil and gas fields, said the Managing Director of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) Mohsen Khojastehmehr, Trend reports citing ILNA.

Contractors will sign confidentiality agreements for all the oil and gas contracts and both sides will be obligated to avoid disclosing information, he said.

Khojastehmehr stressed that domestic and foreign companies involved in all the oil and gas development projects will be obligated to sign the confidentiality agreement and therefore no information will be disclosed related to dealing with Russia.

The National Iranian Oil Company and Russia’s Gazprom have signed cooperation agreements worth $40 billion for the development of oil and gas projects, including the development of the Kish and North Pars fields, the development of seven oil fields, gas swap, LNG projects and establishment of the gas export pipeline.
