BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 30. The value of GDP in Iran's services sector (trade, restaurants, transportation, communication, monetary and financial enterprises, professional and private, public, and others) rose 49.2 percent year-on-year in the first nine months of the last Iranian year (from March 21 through December 21, 2023), the report of Iran's Central Bank said, Trend reports.
According to the report, the value of Iran's GDP in the services sector in the first nine months of last year amounted to 49 quadrillion rials (about $1.17 trillion) at current prices.
The figure was about 32.9 quadrillion rials (about $783 billion) in the same period last year. The report noted that the share of Iran's services sector in the total output of raw materials amounted to 47 percent.
Meanwhile, Iran's GDP in the last nine months, if crude oil is calculated, amounted to 104 quadrillion rials (about $2.4 trillion) at current prices. The value of Iran's GDP increased by 37.6 percent in the last nine months, if crude oil is counted, compared to the same period of the previous year.
To note, the Central Bank of Iran announced the GDP statistics in both current prices and 8-year-old prices (from March 21, 2015, through March 20, 2016), which are considered an index for the country. The information includes running prices.
