BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 4. Iran's non-oil exports through the Bilasuvar border terminal of Ardabil province, located in northwestern Iran, increased 23 percent in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2023 through March 19, 2024) compared to the previous year (from March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2024), Director General of the Road and Transportation Department of Iran's Ardabil province, Kalimollah Vosughi, said, Trend reports.

According to Vosughi, about 603,000 tons of non-oil products were exported through the Bilasuvar border terminal in Ardabil province last year. The export of non-oil products through this border terminal last year amounted to 488,000 tons.

Vosughi added that the exported products are mainly fruits, vegetables, ceramics, potatoes, peppers, glass, and profiles.

The official stated that last year, 33,400 tons of products were imported through the Bilasuvar border terminal.

He noted that last year, 1 million tons of products were transported through the Bilasuvar border terminal in Iran.

To note, the Bilasuvar border terminal in Iran's Ardabil province is located on the border with Azerbaijan. This border terminal functions to develop Iran's trade with Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Russia.
