BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 17. Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Kazakhstan decreased by 13.2 percent in value and by 20.6 percent in weight in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2023 through March 19, 2024) compared to the previous year (from March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023), the statistics of Iran's Customs Administration said, Trend reports.
According to statistics, Iran's non-oil trade with Kazakhstan last year amounted to about 597,000 tons worth about $278 million.
Meanwhile, in the previous Iranian year, Iran's non-oil trade with Kazakhstan amounted to approximately 751,000 tons in the amount of $320 million. The information shows that Iran and Kazakhstan exchanged mainly agricultural and food products, tobacco products, petrochemical products, wheat, barley, various types of equipment, and so on.
Statistics show that for the 12th month of last year (from February 20 through March 19, 2024), Iran's trade turnover with Kazakhstan amounted to 45,600 tons in the amount of $32 million.
To note, according to the statistics of the Iranian Customs Administration, the country's trade turnover (imports and exports) amounted to more than $153 billion last year. Compared to the previous year, the trade turnover increased by 2.6 percent.
