BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 1. Iran's non-oil exports grew by 3.8 percent in value and 8.5 percent in weight in the first two months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through May 21, 2024) year on year, according to Iran's Customs Administration (IRICA), Trend reports.
The IRICA said that Iran exported 23.5 million tons of non-oil products worth $8 billion in the reporting period.
The administration explained that $2.2 billion worth of the exported products fell on China, $1.6 billion - Iraq, $1 billion - UAE, $729 million - Türkiye, $383 million - Pakistan, $351 million - Afghanistan, and $302 million - India.
In the first two months, 83 percent of Iran's product exports in terms of value and 81 percent in terms of weight were exported to the mentioned countries, while the country' trade turnover amounted to $25.3 billion, added IRICA.
To note, the statistics of IRICA show that the country's non-oil exports in the last Iranian year amounted to more than 136 million tons worth $49.3 billion. Compared to the previous year, Iran's non-oil exports decreased by 8.87 percent in value terms and increased by 9.82 percent in weight terms.
