The Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said that the negotiation is a tool for the US to impose its demands and influence.
"They always seek to negotiate with the Islamic Republic," Khamenei said, adding he agreed to talk with the United States only about the nuclear case due to some "certain reasons"."
He did not issue permission for negotiations on other topics with the US and Tehran-Washington talks will never go beyond the nuclear issue, Khamenei said, the official website of the supreme leader reported Sept. 9.
Khamenei also praised Iranian nuclear negotiators' efforts.
After several months of talks, on July 14, Iran and the P5+1 (US, Russia, China, France, UK, and Germany) announced a final accord, curbing Iran 's nuclear program in exchange for the lifting of most international sanctions. Following the deal, members of the UN Security Council unanimously passed a resolution on July 20, endorsing the deal.
While Iran 's leader has not announced any clear stance on the deal, some conservative politicians in the Islamic Republic claim that Khamenei is against the agreement.
On the other hand, during this period, "fight and jihad mood will not leave Israelis comfortable even for a moment", he added.
"Certain people insist to pretend the "Great Satan" [referring to US] as saving grace," Khamenei said, adding," Iranians expelled this Satan and will not permit it to return."
