Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has departed for Nigeria on the first leg of his regional tour to West Africa.
A political and economic delegation will accompany the minister during his six-day visit to Nigeria, Ghana, Conakry Guinea and Mali, IRNA news agency reported.
In addition to the African officials, Zarif is expected to meet a number of traders and businessmen in the African countries.
According to the report, this will be his third tour to Africa as Iranian foreign minister.
