By Fatih Karimov - Trend: Dust storm engulfed the southwestern province of Khuzestan on Sept. 8.
The dust storm started from the cities of Abadan and Khorramshahr and moved fast toward Ahvaz and other cities in the province, Iran 's Mehr news agency reported Sept. 9.
Dust particles have penetrated into cars and buildings and have made breathing for people difficult.
The dust storm caused public and state-run organizations in the city of Mahshahr to be closed.
Dust storms are frequent in Sistan and Baluchestan province and they create many problems for people's daily lives. The province is one of the driest areas in Iran and the common feature in the area is deserts. That makes it easy for dust to rise into the sky with local winds and turn into a dust storm.
