In 17 percent of marriages in Iran, the bride ages less than 18, according to Zahra Kahram, secretary of Child Marriage Conference held in Tehran.
Kahram added that over 5 percent of marriages in Iran involve a person aging under 15, ISNA news agency reported December 11.
She said the results came out of a survey carried out this summer and fall in 17 provinces.
