Flood that occurred in Iran on March 9-10, caused damage to the Iranian province of Sistan and Baluchistan in the amount of 3.36 trillion Iranian rials (roughly $80 million), said Abdurrahman Shahnavazi, the director general of the emergency situations department of the province's governorate, Trend reports via IRNA.
Shahnavazi noted that the infrastructure was damaged in the amount of 2.77 trillion rials (roughly $65.9 million), agriculture in the amount of 480 billion rials (roughly $11.4 million) and houses in the amount of 110 billion rials (roughly $2.61 million).
Shahnavazi added that as a result of the floods, two main roads of the province were also affected.
This province of Iran is known as an area where in recent years the least amount of rain has fallen.
