Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili is the most interested in putting an end to the rumors and speculation surrounding the death of former Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania.

As Saakashvili stated during the Open Air program on "Imedi" TV, Zhvania was his friend, so he closely follows the progress of the investigation.

"I do not know what Zhvania's family members think, but investigation into his death is of no less importance for me. Some try to adopt the term "murder". Zurab Zhvania's death was an accident, and it's good that after two or three days the FBI representatives came and put everything in its place," Saakashvili said.

As for the possible questioning of the president on this issue, according to Saakashvili, no country interrogates the president.

Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania was found dead in February 2005. The official version of his death is gas poisoning.
