Uzbekistan announces tender for solar plant construction
Uzbekenergo State Joint Stock Company (SJSC) has announced a tender for the construction of a solar power plant in Samarkand with a design capacity of 100 megawatts, SJSC said.
The report said that the tender is being held in order "to select the general contractor for the design, construction and operation of grid-connected power plants with installed capacity of 100 megawatts on the basis of crystalline photovoltaic cells with a fixed angle of slope".
The deadline for submission of bids is December 19, 2014.
The starting value of the contract is not specified in the message.
The contract, which will be concluded on the results of a tender, will be implemented with co-financing by ADB and the Fund for Reconstruction and Development of Uzbekistan.
It was previously reported that Uzbekistan plans to build the first solar power plant with a design capacity of 100 megawatts with the power generation exceeding 150 million kilowatt hours per year in Samarkand city. The preliminary project cost is $310 million.
Turkmen gas concern to buy equipment
Turkmengas state concern announced tender.
The subject of the tender is to buy factory-wide equipment for the Malay booster compressor station.
