Candidate for Georgian Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze considers it impossible to restore diplomatic relations with Russia until Abkhazia and South Ossetia are liberated.

"It is impossible to have diplomatic relations with a country that has occupied 20 per cent of another country and recognised the independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia," Panjikidze told media today.

According to the full preliminary data of the Georgian Central Election Commission, the Georgian Dream coalition will get 83 deputy mandates in the parliament, while the United National Movement gets 67.

Military actions were launched in the Georgian territory, South Ossetia on Aug.8 in 2008. Later the Russian troops occupied the Tskhinvali city and drove the Georgian military back. Russia recognized the independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia in late August. In response, Tbilisi broke off diplomatic relations with Moscow and announced two unrecognised republics as the occupied territories.
