Gallup International Association will conduct an exit poll among 25 thousand voters for the first time during the parliamentary elections on May 6, Mediamax reported.

Expert from Gallup International Association Milkana Nikolova stated today exit poll aims not to find out trends or preferences of voters but the choice they made.

"Unlike pre-election polls which are conducted among 1000 voters, exit poll will be held among 25 voters which will provide a more accurate picture", she noted.

Milkana Nikolova said that exit poll will be held on the whole territory of Armenia - in 131 elections districts and each 5th voter will be polled.

The inquirer will be anonymous: the voter will only note his gender, age and the candidate he voted for.

Director of the Armenian Office of Gallup International Association Aram Navasardyan expressed the hope that proxies of various parties won't hinder conducting the poll.

"It's an alternative way of getting information on elections. Everybody is interested in having independent results", he said.

Results of the exit poll will be published on "Armenia" TV channel - the customer of the poll - a few hours after the elections.
