Georgia, Tbilisi /Trend N. Kirtskhalia/ A candidate for the post of presidency, Levan Gachechiladzeh, has demanded the resignation of Central Election Commission chairman Levan Tarkhnishvili. He made this statement on January 8 when visiting the building of the Central Election Commission where he entered without warning
Gachechiladzeh stated to Tarkhnishvili, CEC had falsified the outcome of the elections and legalized false statements. "I am here to talk to the CEC chairman, but he still refuses to have any discussions with me. I want to state that should the outcome of the election be falsified, Tarkhnishvili will be punished" said Gachechiladzeh in the Central Election Commission.
Gachechiladzeh said that half million votes from his supporters were stolen. "Tarkhnishvili signs the relevant documents" said Gachechiladzeh. According to Gachechiladzeh, the opposition demands Tarkhnishvili to begin negotiations.
Gachechiladzeh's supporters, the leaders of United Opposition such as Georgi Khaindrava, Jondi Bagaturia, Koba Davitashivili and others also attended the CEC.
Several leaders of the United Opposition have demanded the resignation of the CEC chairman, Levan Tarkhnishvili, for the violations he had committed.
