Georgia, Tbilisi, 1 May / Trend corr N. Kirtskhalia/ Nino Burjanadze, chairman of the Georgian Parliament, hopes that all EU members will support the EU peacekeeping forces participation in the peacekeeping process in Georgia's conflicting regions.
On 30 April, the 10th meeting between the Georgian Parliamentary Committee and EU passed recommending statement urging EU to take an active part in the peacekeeping process in Georgia's conflict regions.
Burjanadze said to journalists that EU and European Parliament's role has been great, and the main thing now is that these organizations supported Georgia in such difficult political period.
As to 2-day meeting between the EU Parliamentary Committee and Georgia, she said that the statement passed at the meeting condemns Russia's aggressive actions, as well as destruction of Georgian investigation plain.
The statement calls on Russia to stop its aggressive actions towards Georgia and to establish normal relations with the country.
