Georgia, Tbilisi, 21 August / Trend corr. N.Kirtskhalia/ Strict diplomatic and economic sanctions are expected to be taken against Russian aggression in Georgia. This was said by Chris Smith, the United States Congressman.
Smith paid a visit to Georgia in order to get acquainted with the current situation in the country.
"We will attempt to prevent violence by Russia. We will impose diplomatic and economic sanctions on Russia. Russia attempted to come closer to world community, but such actions caused serious obstacles in the process. I saw how Russian militaries kept three and seven aged children in posts. I call on Moscow to open the humanitarian corridor and to provide population with medicals and goods," the congressman said.
