Brussels will host consultations between NATO and Georgian senior military officials May 5.
The meeting is likely to be held within the NATO-Georgian Commission and focus on deepening cooperation, the country's representation at the alliance told Trend.
The representation stressed that that the alliance appreciates Georgia's cooperation with NATO and especially the participation of Georgian soldiers in peacekeeping operations in Afghanistan and will continue to support the reformation of the country's defense system in the future.
Georgia supports NATO operations in Afghanistan where today 170 Georgian soldiers work. In the coming days, 700 more Georgian soldiers will head to Afghanistan.
