Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili will address the 66th session of the UN General Assembly on Sept. 22.

"The Georgian President's address will focus on global and national security, regional problems, conflicts, reforms in Georgia, and other issues," the Georgian Permanent Representative to the UN Alexander Lomaia told journalists in Tbilisi.

Lomaia said during his visit to the U.S. that Saakashvili will hold a series of meetings with political leaders from different countries.

According to the UN Information Centre, the general political discussions will begin on Sept. 21 at the UN headquarters in New York. On the first day, the heads of Brazil, USA, France, Russia, Kazakhstan and Ukraine will also address the session of the General Assembly.
