The Georgian president delivered a lecture at the Maastricht University in the Netherlands.
As the presidential administration reported, Mr Saakashvili spoke about the reforms in the country and Georgia's increasing role in the region.
He said the reform programme launched after the 'Rose Revolution' in 2003 resulted in the country's genuine independence and development of state agencies, and economic growth.
After the lecture, Mr Saakashvili took questions from students, teachers and professors.. He gave an assessment of relations with the EU, U.S., NATO, stressing that integration with the EU and NATO, as well as partnership with the United States is strategic for Georgia.
