Saakashvili: There is mental revolution in Georgia

The President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili met with the students at the presidential palace. He noted that summer camps will act again this year, but they will be educational. As Saakashvili noted Summer School will be created in Anaklia. American specialists will teach in the school.

Saakashvili said there is a mental revolution in the country today. "Rose Revolution did not mean only the waving flags. Several countries have taken example from us, but one thing is to wave flags and shout, and another, when there are changes in fact. Georgia made a leap from the "third world" to "first." We were at the level of the backward countries of the Third World, with a huge corruption, poverty and hopelessness," the head of state said.

Saakashvili noted that the country has reached 10 percent of economic growth until 2008. An increase amounted to 7 percent in 2011, and, Saakashvili suggested that soon Georgia will reach 10 percent figure.

"There are many countries with huge reserves of oil and the population is provided. People there wake up in the morning and did not know what they want because they have all assured. Ultimately, I do not envy such people," Saakashvili said.
