The main thoroughfare was flooded due to heavy rainfall in Rustavi last night.
Water descended from the Iagludzha mountain and closed off the major boulevards.
Fire and rescue teams were mobilized. No one was injured, but the
ground floors and basements of buildings were flooded.
Gurjaani in the Kakheti region was also affected. The water flooded the ground floors of houses and land plots.
It destroyed kidney bean, potato and melon crops in nearby villages.
Special services were mobilized this morning to deal with the aftermath.
