Construction of a tea packing factory is planned in Batumi, in Georgia. For this purpose, the Finance and Economy Ministry of Adjara has sold a non-agricultural land area of 4900 square metres in the village of Khelvachauri at an auction.
In accordance with the terms, the investor should begin construction within six months after concluding an agreement and complete it within 12 months. Some 350,000 lari ($1 = 1.65 lari) should be invested in the project.
Within 13 months after concluding the agreement, the buyer is obliged to employ 10 people in the company, 90 per cent of whom will be Georgian citizens. Also, there should be a transfer 50,199 lari to the bank account made payable to Ltd 'Khelvachauri Fruits and Vegetable Warehouse' within two months.
The initial price of the facility is 175,000 lari. The auction is scheduled for July 17.
