Georgia’s First Lady visits wounded military in U.S. hospital

The First Lady of Georgia Sandra Roelofs visited six Georgian militaries, including Vice-Colonel Alexander Tugushi, wounded in Afghanistan, who are in the Walter Reeds military hospital in Washington.

Roelofs visited the hospital along with her youngest son Nikoloz, the press secretariat of the first lady said.

They wished a speedy recovery to the military wounded before returning home. Roelofs said the wounded Georgian soldiers are the real heroes.

The wounded, most of whom lost their legs due to mines, thanked the First Lady for her attention and care.

Fifteen Georgian soldiers have died in Afghanistan.
