US ambassador: Transfer of power proceeds efficiently in Georgia

Transfer of power proceeds efficiently in Georgia, the US ambassador Richard Norland told journalists on Saturday.
"We are observing the transfer of power process and are glad that it proceeds efficiently. The first signal was the meeting between two leaders, who stated that transfer of power will take place effectively," the American ambassador noted.
Norland has already met with the candidate for foreign minister in new government Maya Panjikidze. He stated that the meeting was on Georgian American relations.
"I had an opportunity to meet the candidate for minister for the first time. I confirm that relations between the two countries will continue on a sustainable basis," Norland added.
According to complete preliminary CEC data, the Georgian Dream coalition will have 83 deputy mandates and the United National Movement- 67.
According to the party lists, around 44 members will join the Parliament from the Georgian Dream coalition, while 33 will be from the United National Movement.
According to the single party districts, Georgian Dream will get 39 seats, while United National Movement - 34
