Georgian Prime Minister-nominee Bidzina Ivanishvili will pay his first foreign visit in his new post to Brussels.

"I am convinced to pay my first visit to Europe," Ivanishvili said after a meeting in Tbilisi with Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourghood Policy Štefan Füle.

Füle conveyed invitation of European Commission President José Manuel Barroso to the coalition leader Bidzina Ivanishvili.

Earlier Ivanishvili stated that he intends to pay his first visit to the U.S.

The latter gave the leader won the parliamentary elections the opposition coalition invitation of European Commission President Manuel Barroso to visit the headquarters of the EU.

Ivanishvili said earlier, that his first visit, he intends to make in the U.S..

Parliamentary elections were held in Georgia on October 1. Around 14 parties and two political blocs participated in the elections.

According to full the preliminary data of the Georgian Central Election Commission, the Georgian Dream coalition will receive 85 seats in the parliament, and the United National Movement, 65.

The leader of the Georgian Dream coalition has introduced new candidates for ministerial posts in the new Georgian government.

Ivanishvili plans to become prime minister.
