On Friday, the Supreme Council of Adjara will elect a chairman of Adjara government.
According to the candidate for prime minister of Georgia Bidzina Ivanishvili, three candidates are considered for the position : Armaz Akhvlediani Jemal Putkaradze and Archil Khabadze.
"We are considering three candidates. Each candidate is acceptable for the initiative group. We will ask the President to expedite the convening of the Supreme Council of Adjara, and to hold a meeting the day after tomorrow, we will make the final decision within this time," the leader of the Georgian Dream noted.
Till now, Adjar government was headed by a favorite of Georgian president Levan Varshalomidze. However, following the electoral defeat of the United National Movement in the Supreme Council, the position will be passed to a representative of the Georgian Dream.
