An international mission, which is on a week-long visit to Georgia, got acquainted with the statistical system of the country, Georgian Statistics Service told Trend.
The mission includes representatives of the European Commission and the European Economic Commission, as well as statistical services of several EU countries.
The purpose of the visit was Georgian statistical system's approximation with the European standards.
Within the visit, the working meetings were held with major producers of official statistics, both non-governmental sector and academic circles.
The mission has already prepared an interim version of the report, which formulates recommendations for the further development of the statistical system of Georgia.
