Georgia, Tbilisi, Dec. 29 / Trend N. Kirtzkhalia /
The Georgian parliament adopted a bill on general courts. Some 91 MPs voted for the bill and no one voted against on Friday.
According to the bill, the Georgian Parliament is entitled to early terminate the powers of the Supreme Court instead of the Supreme Council of Justice.
The Georgian President and the parliamentary minority voted against bill approval. The Venice Commission of the Council of Europe also advised the Parliament to refrain from examining the bill in the Council of Europe.
