Shots fired at Georgian MP’s house

The house belonging to the Georgian majority MP representing Akhmeta district, Olympic judo champion Zurab Zviadauri has been fired at from automatic weapons.
Zviadauri told journalists that the incident occurred between 01:00 and 1:30 on January 1. Some 13 bullets were fired at the bedroom windows, but no injuries were reported.
The deputy said that Giorgi Kistauri who is wanted by the authorities and who escaped to Ukraine before the elections was detained over the case. He was brought to Georgia by former Deputy Interior Minister Georgi Lordkipanidze in anticipation of elections. Zurab Zviadauri said an altercation took place between his brother and Giorgi Kistauri prior to the gunshots.
