Georgia seeks to attract German investment

Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, David Narmania, held official meetings in Germany. The Georgian delegation also included the Chairman of Municipal Development Fund, Elgudzha Horkoshvili.

As Ministry told Trend, the first official meeting of Narmania was held with German Foreign Minister Cornelia Pieper. The conversation touched on the new Georgian government's programs. Particular emphasis was placed on social and economic trends and the deepening of the Georgian-German relations. The parties discussed planned reforms of the government and the support of Germany in the matter of continuing reforms.

Cornelia Pieper highlighted issues of cooperation between Georgian and German cities in terms of mutual exchange of experience as well as a steep increase in the number of sister cities, there are only three now. Pieper also stressed the need for cooperation with Regensburg in terms of infrastructure projects.
Later, Piper and Narmania, opened the conference organized by the Association of Economic Cooperation of Eastern and Central Europe where the Minister made a presentation on investment attractiveness of Georgia on capital investment and infrastructure projects.
