The State Minister of Georgia for European Integration Alexi Petriashvili is attending the funeral of the former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, which is underway on Wednesday in London.
According to the decision of the British side, only one person from each country may attend the funeral, the Georgian Foreign Ministry told Trend on Wednesday. Since the State Minister's visit to London coincided with this event, Alexi Petriashvili is attending the event.
The funeral is being held at the St Paul's Cathedral and is being attended by Britain's Queen Elizabeth II and her husband, Prince Philip.
Former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, died on the morning of April 8, 2013 at the age of 87 years. The cause of death was a stroke.
