Georgia's former Prime Minister Vano Merabishvili, former head of the Parliament David Bakradze and former Culture Minister Nikoloz Rurua will be left without the state guard service. A draft resolution has been submitted to the government by the head of the Special State Protection Service Anzor Chubinidze.
In this regard, the presidential decree on the list of persons and property subject to the state protection, dated January 5, 2009, loses its force.
The corresponding order on the persons and facilities subject to the protection of the Special State Protection Service will be issued by the government of Georgia.
As stated by the deputy chief of the Special State Protection Service David Bestavashvili, following the publication of this order, the state guard services will no longer be provided to Vano Merabishvili, David Bakradze and Nikoloz Rurua.
"Following the publication of the relevant order, these individuals will no longer be secured by the State Protection Service," Bestavashvili said.
